Are you NHS Ready?

You have questions?

Great - I understand that this is a committment and want you to make sure this is right for you.

Below there are more FAQs I have received, that may help you get the answer you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yep - LOADS more detail on the course below, but reach out if you have any questions I don't cover below.

How long will the course take

There's a WHOPPING 8 hours of video content but does the whole lot in one go would be difficult, as there are activities for you to do throughout.

I would expect this course will take 1-2 weeks if you fully embrace a module a day.

Who is this course for?

The strategic course has been chiefly built for people or companies looking to sell a tech product to the NHS, and there are lots of topics that really relate to the nuances of tech. However, if you're in an adjacent area then there's lots that could be relevant for you.

What company size or stage is this course for?

The course is designed for companies in the earliest stages all the way through to those who are well developed and looking to improve how they scale. Early in the course we'll define three levels which I use and refer to throughout the course:

  • Level 1 - Getting in - will be about the journey from situating the right pilots, in the right way, with the right stakeholders involved in order to get your first massive piece of validation by the system. A paid contract / or the first contractual opportunity.
  • Level 2 - Getting contracts - will zone in on the journey where you transition from your first contract or two to building up repeatability. Whereas in level one you were putting huge energy into an organisation or two taking a punt on you, this stage of the journey is about getting a bigger cohort of organisations commissioning you with less individualised energy.
  • Level 3 - Getting around - will focus on making your organisation and initiative look and feel like something that the NHS can confidently take on regardless of their different locations, demographies, and many other varying nuances.

Yes, in your whole journey you’ll have more phases, such as early concept design (where you might be starting to think about Level 1), but the three levels are focused on getting over some of the bigger walls that will depend on the mechanics of the system (and the actors who will wield such mechanics).

This may feel a bit different to some of the other definitions you’ve seen and heard of, for example I’ve arguably bundled a whole load of journey into Level 1, such as the various stages involved in piloting.

To reiterate, the levels I’m using are based on where companies can get stuck, and can fall down, due to resistance from the NHS. Since this course is about NHS readiness, our work will be about ways to proactively get through these areas of resistance and to the other side.

What kind of company is this course for? Is it only or tech companies?

The strategic course has been chiefly built for people or companies looking to sell a tech product to the NHS, and there are lots of topics that really relate to the nuances of tech. However, if you're in an adjacent area then there's lots that could be relevant for you.

What kind of company is this course for?

Is it only or tech companies?

The course has been chiefly built for people or companies looking to sell a tech product to the NHS, and there are lots of topics that really relate to the nuances of tech, tech driven service or 'product'.

However, a number of the modules are applicable to organisations that are looking to bring or try a new approach or service to the NHS, you may just find that there are some elements that dive a bit deeper around tech.

If you're really not sure then contact me or DM on LinkedIn.

Will it suitable for companies from other markets,
not currently in the UK?

Yes, absolutely and this audience was totally kept in mind when designing and delivering the course, as I advise a lot of these kinds of companies, and in particular module 2 covers the overall NHS operating structure.

This course will definitely help you understand the NHS as a market and how to approach it.

What is the delivery format

The course is predominantly videos - which I've put huge amount of time and energy to be something that you hopefully find beautiful, engaging, fun, human and helpful. TO get the jist of the format, do check out the introductory videos to get a flavour of the format and style.

Additionally, there will be downloadable templates along the way, further reading links, and solely one review at the very end (as I hate bullshit learning quizzes - you're adults!)

How long does the access last? Will the course be kept up to date?

Access = 12 months.

This is because the NHS changes a lot and for those buying the course I would not want it to be out of date when returning in the future. However, should I plan to keep the course going and updated well into the future then any renewal cost would be very reasonable (TBC).

Can lots of people in my company watch it on the same licence?

No - the pricing model works with a company licence, and with a per seat licence - which is designed to make it reasonable to add more seats.

Our platform Thinkific provides great detail on user level activity (incl. IP tracking), and the signup terms will prohibit this, and stipulate that accounts will be suspended without refund.

HOWEVER - I want this to be valuable, and should someone with a licence leave your company or there be any other good reason why you can't get the value that the course provides, we will try to accommodate if you contact us.

Do you offer discounts for...

I'm not going to be discounting this heavily apart from during launch (initially to those on the waiting list), and much in the future. This course is good value.

However...

  • Registered non-profits (charity and social enterprise) - as a social entrepreneur I will discount for non-profits - Please contact me with a link to your organisation and non-profit creds. I'm committed to offering value to non-profits.
  • Very early stage individuals, such as clinical entrepreneurs - who have not fully registered or received investment - Yes, email me.

Note - if you're an established registered company and have received investment from Angel / VC then discounts won't be offered - sorry.

Why isn't this course free / why is it priced at nearly £1000 per company?

Let's be clear.

  • There is nothing else like this course.
  • The COST of this equates to a few peak hour train fares or a team meal.
  • But the potential IMPACT of this unique and strategic course could change the fortunes of your startup or business.
  • This is the culmination of my 20 years experience and has been a massive undertaking to create my magnum opus 😉.
  • I'm not paid by the NHS to support companies, I work for myself.
